Artwork I created while at college.
Including some of my photography and sculptures.
Chair number one, the stringed instrument.
For safety reasons at KIAD I couldn't tune
it in,
just in case the strings snapped and took
out an eye. I don't think it would have snapped
but I had to stick by the
rules at the college.
Just in case.
It's not clear to see in the photo but the strings
are all different colours.
Chair number two, The percussion Instrument.
Attached to the chair are two chopsticks that
are
meant to be used as drumsticks.
The whole art piece was 'Recycle Recycle' and
I recycled not just the items used to
make them,
but the term 'Musical Chairs'.
In the seat of the silver chair is a wind-up
mechanism that plays Somewhere
over the Rainbow.
